Welcome to Champ des Legendes (The
Fields of Legends) Boxer Kennel! Where we specialize in the breeding and training of top
working boxers of European origins. We are located in
Chicago, IL, USA.
Our History:
Our story with the Boxer began well over 20 years ago with having
American Boxers. In 1997 we met a magnificent dog in Paris that was a
thrill to watch work. His name was
Hiram des Grands Fonds des Abymes. From that day forward our opinion
of the boxer would change forever. A year later we were fortunate enough
to acquire a puppy from Hiram's owner. In 1998 Ondine des Grands Fonds des
Abymes entered our lives and there our journey began. Ondine possessed
every quality a working dog should have: loads of drive, willingness to
work, and stable nerves. She was a pleasure to work and even more so to
live with. This dog was the inspiration for our Kennel and our driving
passion for training the boxer.

Our Mission:
We are dedicated o the preservation and development of the original
Working Boxer temperament. The Boxer Breed was created in Germany to be
an elite working service dog. In which it would fill the role of
military/ police dog and ultimate family companion. Over the years, its
original design has drastically changed and original purpose
forgotten by North American Breeders. Today's American Boxers are
neither capable of working nor protecting mankind. This is evident
by its absence in working dog sport competitions. We have traveled
through out the World, selecting some of the best specimens for their
working ability. Our years in dog sports and police K9 training gives us
an insight second to none. Our
kennel strives to maintain and increase involvement with current active
and reputable training groups and
we've aligned ourselves with productive, positive, and legitimate organizations to support the evolution of working boxers in North America.
In addition to popular North American Tracking and Schutzhund, we train and title our dogs in Ringsports, Personal Protection Programs as well as Schutzhundsport (now named VPG,
in Germany). We believe that the Ringsports gives us more insight on our dogs' working capacity and helps us maintain our dog's working qualities,
which significantly improves our selection process.
As breeders we promise to remain responsible
in the studying and selecting of our dogs in order to keep producing
boxers with unrivaled qualities
that will be seen in Performance,
Health, Power, Courage, Drive and Structure.
Ultimately, the working boxer we strive to produce will be a Family Protector, elite working K9 and top working Canine Athlete
that you can depend on!
